Edition one · Autumn 2026
First,
someone folded
a bird.
A sweet wrapper, on a platform, waiting. Four folds and one crimson facet left over from the printing. That bird is the whole brand — pressed now into cloth heavy enough to outlast the season it was bought in.
Edition one
One tee.
Two placements.
The same cloth and the same mark, printed either small on the left chest or squared in the centre. Each one is cut after you order it, so nothing is made for a shelf and nothing is ever marked down at the end of a season.
The fold
Four planes and one
piece of luck.
The original is 30 millimetres across and lives in a drawer. It was folded from the inside of a cigarette wrapper — silver on one side, a red printed panel on the other — and the red landed on the tail by accident.
That accident is now the only colour the brand owns. Everything else is paper, graphite and the weight of the cloth. Nothing is added to a garment that the fold did not already justify.
“It took four folds and about twenty seconds. Everything after that has taken considerably longer.”
You order
Nothing is cut before that moment. No warehouse, no pile of unsold cloth at the end of a season, no reason ever to discount.
The nearest press makes it
Your order routes to the production house closest to your address, so the parcel crosses one border instead of three.
It is checked and sent
Two to four days on the press, two to five in transit, and the tracking link reaches you the moment it exists.
What you are owed
The part most brands leave vague.
Wrong size, our cost
Thirty days to change your mind. We send the replacement size and cover the return label. You are never asked to pay to correct a fit.
One business day
Every message is answered within one business day by the person who made the thing. No ticket number, no queue, no script.
Faulty is replaced, not argued
Send one photograph. A replacement goes onto the press the same day and the original is yours to keep or recycle.
The record
Nothing to show here yet.
Edition one opened this season and no one has worn a piece long enough to say anything worth reading. When they have, their words will appear here unedited, with the garment, the size and the date — and not before. A wall of invented praise is the cheapest thing on the internet, and we would rather show you an empty shelf.
The list
New pieces, before anyone else.
Roughly six letters a year: new pieces, restocks, nothing else.
Questions
Asked before buying.
How long until it arrives?
Two to four business days on the press, then two to five in transit across Europe, North America and Israel. Further afield, up to nine. Every order carries a tracking link.
Does the fit run large?
The tee and the hoodie are boxy by design: straight body, dropped shoulder. If you sit between sizes and want a conventional fit, size down. Flat measurements for every size are listed on the piece itself.
Why only one tee?
Because one good tee is harder to get right than four mediocre ones. The cloth, the cut and the mark took longer to settle than the whole rest of the brand. More pieces will follow when they are worth making.
Will the mark crack in the wash?
Printed marks are direct-to-garment, embroidered marks are stitched. Wash cold, inside out, and hang dry, and both will outlast the cotton around them. A hot tumble dryer is what kills a print.
Who is behind ORU?
One person in Israel, working with print houses in the EU and the US. Write to support@wearoru.com and the reply comes from the person who folded the bird.
